Description: Here’s a different way to get into the Halloween spirit. On Saturday, October 8, the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles presents its 28th Annual Hollywood Forever Cemetery Tour. Guests will visit the grave sites and hear stories of early Hollywood pioneers, stars, and movie moguls, such Col. Griffith J. Griffith, Hollywood founder Harvey Wilcox, Rudolph Valentino, Tyrone Power, Marion Davies, Carl “Alfalfa” Switzer, Fay Wray, Cecil B. Demille and many more.
Please note: The tour is historical, not horrific, so don’t expect any monsters hiding behind the tombstones. This is completely safe for kids and anyone else who does not want to be scared (except by the morbid surroundings, of course).
The two-and-a-half-hour guided walking tours will depart from the fountain inside the main gate of Santa Monica Boulevard every 20 minutes, between 10 a.m. until 12 noon.
Tickets available on Brown Paper Tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/185994) and at the door. Tickets are $20.
Comfortable walking shoes, water and sunscreen are recommended.
