A Christmas Carol on stage

It's only the end of June, but Warner Grand Theatre already has this stage production, based on Charles Dickens' Christmas classic, scheduled for December.

From the theatre's website:

Beginning on Saturday, December 12, the Relevant Stage continues its annual tradition of offering The Christmas Carol, a stage adaptation of Dickens's classic story "A Christmas Carol" to families in December. Written during a time of decline in the old Christmas traditions, Dickens's original book played a critical role in redefining the importance of Christmas and the major sentiments associated with the holiday. An old and bitter miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of one night. Mr. Scrooge is a financier/money-changer who has devoted his life to the accumulation of wealth. He holds anything other than money in contempt, including friendship, love and the Christmas season.
