Description: Calling all Superheroes! Grab your capes, masks, and sleeping bags, and join up for the Skirball’s first-ever overnight family getaway at the Skirball, offering kids and grown-ups an exclusive, up-close-and-personal look at the exhibition ZAP! POW! BAM! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books, 1938-1950.
Explore the galleries after dark to discover what makes a hero super—is it a cape, a mask, a trusty sidekick, or a special power? Meet with scientists and take part in experiments to expose the truth behind flight, x-ray vision, invisible jets, hulk strength, and lightning speed. Enjoy a yummy dinner with fellow caped crusaders and new friends. Fall asleep to bedtime stories celebrating the triumph of good over evil. Kickstart the next morning with a continental breakfast and even more comic book action!
