In addition to Beyond Fest 2016, which begins this week at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, the American Cinematheque will screen several horror films during the month of October, both at the Egyptian and at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. Titles include, Cat People (1982), Ghostbusters (1984), a double bill of Dracula (1931) and Dracula’s Daughter (1936), a double bill of The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1970) and Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1971), and a double bill of WNUF Halloween Special (2013) and The Midnight Hour (1985).
The eleventh edition of the Cinematheque’s annual All Night Horrorthon will take place at the Aero Theatre on Saturday, October 29, starting at 7:30pm. Films include: The Blob (1988), Devil Fetus (1983), The Entity (1982), Phantasm II (1988), Humanoids from the Deep (1980), Hell Night (1981), and Brain Damage (1988). There are special ticket prices for this event: $25 for general admission; $23 for students and seniors; $20 for Cinematheque members.
