Apropos of a preview of a book about the special effects for ALIEN VS PREDATOR 2, Jessica Barnes of Cinematical offers a handful of reasons not to get to excited by the prospect of the upcoming sequel.

One she focus on is that, once again, the story will be set on present day Earth – this time in a small Midwester town where the two species face off.

How much more obvious can it be? The frickin’ Aliens should not be on Earth – they should be completely unknown to humans until the Nostromo encounters them on the return leg of its journey in ALIEN.

It was bad enough to make the mistake in the first ALIEN VS PREDATOR. It’s insult to injury to mindlessly repeat it in a sequel.
