Bad News: No Griffith Park Ghost Train for Halloween 2016

One annual highlight of Halloween in Los Angeles – the Los Angeles Live Steamers Ghost Train – will not be operating in 2016. According to an announcement on the volunteer group’s official website:

“We are sorry to announce that our annual fundraiser The Halloween Ghost Train will not be held this year due to various contributing factors. We thank you for the many years of support you’ve shown us. We look forward to seeing you during our normal operating hours every Sunday (except for the first Sunday in October, and Memorial Day Weekend) from 11am – 3pm. Thank you for your understanding.”

This is sad news. The Ghost Train has grown into quite a spectacular ride over the past few years, making it one of the best family-friend Halloween attractions in L.A. Hopefully, the Ghost Train will depart again next year.

Those who have never ridden the Ghost Train can get a glimpse of what they are missing courtesy of our video.
