Beyond Fest 2016

In association with Shudder and the American Cinemathque Beyond Fest is back for 2016, offering another slew of bizarre cinema offerings, loaded with horror, fantasy, science fiction, ultra-violence, and esoteric cult sensibility. Highlights include a 70mm screening of 2001: A Space Odyssey, the west coast premiere of Sadako vs Kayako, a 3D conversion of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, and Lucio Fulci’s gore extravaganza, The Beyond, with musical accompaniment provided live by composer Fabio Frizzi. In person guests include Paul Schrader (Dog Eat Dog), Don Coscarelli (Phantasm), Kurt Russell (Big Trouble in Little China), and Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood (2001). Plus, there will be numerous free screenings, with tickets available at the box office on a first-come-first-served basis at 6pm on the night of each event.

Beyond Fest 2016 runs from September 30 through October 11. All screenings are at the Egyptian Theatre: 6712 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood 90028.
