Though Hollywood Gothique has driven past Castle Park in Riverside, we have never ventured inside – not even to experience their annual Castle Dark halloween haunt. Nevertheless, we want to let our readers know that advance tickets for this year’s frights are on sale: an $8 Deluxe Doom pass includes unlimited access to all mazes and rides.
The offer ends on September 29, so if you are interested, you should purchase ASAP. Regular ticket prices range from $13.99 to $19.99 at the gate, depending on which activities are included (miniature golf course, etc).
Castle Dark begins on Friday October 7 and runs on weekends throughout October. Hours are 7-10pm on Fridays & Saturdays, 7-9pm on Sundays.
This year’s Halloween frights (recommended for children over 13) include Demented Doom Mine (new); The Vortex (new); Shiverton Manor; and Ghost Blasters.
Parents looking for something more family friendly might want to take their children to Happy Hauntings, which Castle Park will present on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from October 8 through 30. Starting at 3pm, activities include costume contests, pumpkin carving, and a safe, interactive trick-or-treating for kids 12 and under. Happy Hauntings is included with regular admission.
Castle Park’s official website is here.
