Pride or Die: Where Horror Meets LGBTQ+ Pride
Diversity platform Horror in Color is collaborating with SoCal snack-shop Iced Above for a Horror-themed PRIDE event unlike any other. Horror in Color is recognizing every intersection of their community this summer with Pride or Die, a Horror-themed event celebrating LGBTQIA+ identity. On Saturday,
June 19th June 18th from 5pm-9:30pm, this Latinx-owned platform will be taking over viral snack-shop Iced Above in Uptown Whittier, CA (just blocks from filming locations of movies like Hocus Pocus and tv shows like True Blood.)
Guests will be treated to live Scaryoke, an exclusive menu of snacks and drinks like the Neon Nightmare, limited-edition merchandise and art, and special appearance from Director Gigi Guerrero and Drag Queen Jerrica – all in a nightmare-fueled speakeasy. Funds will be raised for local counseling services for LGBTQIA+ youth via Colors Youth.
The most important part is you! Bring your Pride or Die, whether it be your friends, significant other, or family who you can be proud to enjoy Horror with everyday. Guests can visit HorrorinColor.com/PrideorDie for more information.
