The American Cinemathque will be presenting two separate horror film festivals at the end of this month: one at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood andone at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. Each will contain an all-night horrorthon, plus some other double bills of classic horror films.
The Egyptian festival will include double bills of HORROR OF DRACULA/BRIDES OF DRACULA, CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF/THE GORGON, and two versions of DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE. The Horrorthon will include such titles as SANTA SANGRE and PIECES.
The more comedically-oriented fest at the Aero Theatre will include ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN and PLAN NINE FROM OUTER SPACE (with live commentary from the Rifftrax crew). The all-nighter will feature NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, CHAINSAW II, DEAD/ALIVE, DEMONS, and more.
