Cinespia announces Halloween 2016 cemetery screenings
Cinespia has announced a trio of fantasy horror films that will screen outdoors at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery this Halloween: Death Becomes Her, Stan Against Evil, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Death Becomes Her is director Robert Zemeckis’ 1992 about the price of immortality, starring Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, and Bruce Willis. A Nightmare on Elm Street is the 1984 Wes Craven classic that introduced the world to dream-demon Freddy Kruger. Stan Against Evil is a new film making its premier. Written by Dana Gould (Parks and Recreation), it tells of a disgruntled former sheriff (John C. McGinley) who teams up with his tough female successor (Janet Varney) to fight demons unleashed on the sight of a 17th century witch burning.
The schedule is:
- Death Becomes Her on Saturday, October 15 at 7:15pm
- Stan Against Evil on Wednesday, October 19 at 7:30pm
- A Nightmare on Elm Street on Saturday, October 22 at 7:15pm
All screenings take place on the Fairbanks law in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, located at 6000 Santa Monica Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90038.
Gates open 1 hour and 45 minutes before the film starts. Bring blankets, picnics, low chairs, wine but not hard liquor.
Tickets are $16 for Death Becomes Her and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Stan Against Evil is free, but you must have a ticket (to prevent overcrowding). The event includes complimentary good a beverage, plus a Q&A with Gould and the cast.
