Heads up, Los Angeles horror and Halloween fans…
Cinespia wraps up its summer series of films screened in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery with THE SHINING, Stanley Kubrick’s masterful 1980 filmization of the Stephen King novel.
The event takes place on Saturday, September 24.
Gates open at 6:30pm; screening starts at 8:00.
$10 donation tickets available at the gate. Parking is free within the cemetery grounds.
Bring blankets and a picnic dinner. No tall chairs.
It’s the 25th anniversary of THE SHINING; in fact, the American Cinematheque recently screened the film at its Aero and Egyptian Theatres, but what better venue could their be than the Forever Cemetery, which is the last resting place of so many Hollywood stars?
I want to say, “Missing this would be a grave mistake,” but I’m afraid would find a way to hurl cyber-tomatoes at me.
Location: Hollywood Forever Cemetery – 6000 Santa Monica Blvd at Gower in Hollywood
