Dandelion Wine: A Tribute to Ray Bradbury

This weekend, the American Cinematheque is offering a two-day tribute to fantasy author Ray Bradbury, who will be in attendance both days. The tribute includes screenings of three films: SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES on Friday and a double bill of MOBY DICK and THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS on Saturday.

The latter may seem like an odd pairing, but BEAST is based on Bradbury's short story, THE FOGHORN, a melancholy tale of a prehistoric beast that attacks a lighthouse - which inspired director John Huston to tap Bradbury to co-write the screenplay for MOBY DICK.

Location: Egyptian Theatre - 6712 Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood. www.egyptiantheatre.com
