Danny Elfman has announced that he will perform music from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas at the Hollywood Bowl on October 31, 2015. The live orchestral performance will be conducted by John Mauceri, with Elfman singing the role of the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skelington. The venue will be decorated to resemble Halloween Town as seen in the 1993 stop-motion musical, and guests are encouraged to come in costume – not that Nightmare Before Christmas fans need any encouragement. More singers are to be announced for the other roles.
Prices range from $29.50 to $255, plus fees. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 18. There will be a pre-sale on Wednesday, September 15, sponsored by KROQ: click here and use the password “KROQNIGHTMARE”.
