Day of the Dead will celebrate Quetzalcoatl’s return

On Saturday, October 30, the annual LA Day of the Dead festival will return to Hollywood Forever Cemetery for its twenty-second celebration.

This year, the event will be split in two, Dia de los Muertos and Noche de los Muertos, which will provide guests an opportunity to explore 2021’s theme – The Return of Quetzalcoatl – by day or by night. In addition to dozens of decorated altars celebrating loved ones passed on to the afterlife, the separately ticketed events will include Aztec dancers, musical performers (including Mon Laferte), art exhibitions, traditional food, and a contest for best catrina costume.

Dia De Los Muertos will open at 9am, Noche de los Muertos at 5pm. Tickets for the daytime version start at $40; tickets for nighttime version start at $50.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery is located at 6000 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, next to Paramount Studios. For more information about the event, visit ladayofthedead.com.
