Delusion announces partnership with Skybound Entertainment

delusion-skybound-imageA post on Delusion: A Haunted Play’s Facebook page directs us to a double announcement:

  1. Tickets for a final extension of this Halloween’s production of Delusion: His Crimson Queen will go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 18.
  2. Delusion is partnering with Skybound Entertainment Partners to create a virtual reality version of the interactive horror play, based on 2014’s Delusion Lies Within.

According to Variety, “The VR series will introduce two new characters that follow their favorite author, and offer interactivity and options for viewers to choose their own path. Shooting is set to begin in early 2017, and the series is going to be produced by Skybound in conjunction with Witty Acronym.”

Production is scheduled to begin early in 2017. Details have not been revealed regarding when and how the series will be released to viewers. Apparently, the virtual reality market is so new that the industry is still determining the best way to reach and hold an audience.
