The Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience promises an audio-visual special effects experience that haunt-seekers can enjoy from the safety of their own car. The event runs from 6 pm to 9:45 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays; 6 pm to 10:45 pm on Fridays & Saturdays. Sessions start in fifteen-minute intervals. This Halloween, Castle Park present the Ghost Golf Experience instead of its usual Castle Dark theme park haunt. The new family-friendly event includes miniature golf, two CarnEvil games, and a walk through a trail of terror. Hours of operation are from 1pm to 9pm on weekends in October. Times are subject to change, so check before purchasing tickets.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Beware the Dark Realm shifts from a walk-through maze to an "immersive visual display" for Halloween 2020. The yard haunt will be open 7-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays from October 2 through 31. Visitors to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Donations are accepted for the local non-profit "Family Promise."

The Haunted Shack is not offering a walk-through maze this year, but there will be an elaborate front yard display. Admission and parking are free, but Trick-or-Treaters are asked to donate at least two non-perishable food items to help feed homeless people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Haunt'O Ween L.A. offers a 25- to 35-minute Halloween experience for the whole family. The event runs daily from October 9 through 31, with hours from 3pm through 8:30. Tickets are sold in fifteen-minute, timed intervals. Price are $70 for for vehicles with up to 8 passengers, $90 for larger vehicles with 9 or more passengers. Los Angeles Haunted Hayride return to 's Midnight Falls but not to Griffith Park, instead moving to Bonelli Regional Park for what is being billed as a live drive-up experience. Spooky Hollow - a Halloween home haunt that went on hiatus after its 2012 debut - returns with a new theme, Creepy Crossing, described as a "yard display in which mischievous creatures and spirits celebrate the holiday in their own ghoulish and demented ways." Based on Spooky Hollow's 2012 presentation, expect a modest but impressive display of decorations, props, and effects.
