Force of Nature resurrects Poe and Fallen Saints for Halloween 2019

Force of Nature Productions is staging two horror-themed plays for Halloween 2019: Edgar Allan Poe and Fallen Saints: Salem. The former is the one-man show starring Duffy Hudson as the tortured author, which FON Productions have presented the past two Halloween seasons. The latter is the fourth installment in the company’s ongoing series, which incorporates history and legends into sinister theatrical productions (previous versions dealt with Jack The Ripper and La Llorona).

Fallen Saints: Salem asks the question, “What’s worse: the unknown force causing terror in the small town of Salem – or the terror itself?” Audiences are invited to ” join the hunt where the mob might just be as dangerous as the monster itself.” The play was written by Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm, who has scripted previous efforts at FON and The Wicked Lit Halloween Theatre Festival. FON’s producing artistic director and founder, Sebastian Muñoz, is directing. The show runs on Fridays and Saturdays from September 20 through October 12, with performances at 8:30pm and 10pm nightly. Tickets are $18. Get more information here.

Edgar Allan Poe mixes biography with literature, as actor Hudson navigates through several tales and poems, presenting them as echoes of events in the author’s life and revealing some secrets behind their creation. Performances take place on Sundays at 8pm from September 22 through October 13. Tickets are $20. Get more information here.

Both plays are staged in the Actors Workout Studio at 4735 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood. The official website for Force of Nature Productions is: fonproductions.com.
