Forest of Mirrors now in the Graveyard of Lost Haunts

This is not really news, but I wanted to post a confirmation that the Forest of Mirrors now officially resides in the Graveyard of Lost Halloween Haunts. The last time Hollywood Gothique visited was in Halloween 2012, and the haunt stopped updating its website after 2013; nevertheless, we would get the occasional message from a fan insisting that the Forest was still running, though as a low-key friends-and-neighbors-only event, eschewing the crowds of its glorious heyday.

In an effort to stem any inquiries that might have landed in my email box this Halloween season, I want to state unequivocally: the proprietor has confirmed that “after a great run,” he is “no longer doing the Forest of Mirrors.”

Sad, I know. But at least we still have memories of the wonderfully ethereal haunt, which seemed to stretch into infinity thanks to its strategically positioned mirrors among the foggy terrain, turning a simple backyard into a magical landscape. And if memory fades, we have some video we hope to post in the not too distant future.
