Columbia Pictures releases Ghostbusters: Afterlife in theaters nationwide on November 19. Jason Reitman (“Up in the Air,” “Juno”) directed from a screenplay he cowrote with Gil Kenan (“Monster House,” “Poltergeist”). Ivan Reitman (“Ghostbusters,” “Up in the Air”) produced. The cast includes Carrie Coon (“Gone Girl,” “Avengers: Infinity Wars”), Finn Wolfhard (“It,” “Stranger Things”), McKenna Grace (“Gifted,” “I, Tonya”), Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man,” “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”), along with Ghostbusters alumni Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts.
The story follows single-mom Callie and her two children as they move to a small town of and move into a decrepit farmhouse inherited from Callie’s absent father. The place seems worthless, but there’s a surprise waiting in the barn…the Ecto-1 car used by the original Ghostbusters.
