Halloween coming to San Fernando Valley Drive-In

My Valley Pass has announced the lineup for this year’s San Fernando Valley Halloween Drive-In, with films ranging from family-friendly fare like Hotel Transylvania to grim terrors like the original Pet Sematery. The series takes place on Fridays and Saturdays in mid-to-late October. Every evening includes two films; audiences have a choice of purchasing tickets for either or both titles. Tickets for one film only are $20 for individuals, $55 for family pack; double-bill family pack is $30 for individuals and $95 for family pack.

My Valley Pass, which bills itself as “#1 Visitors Guide to the San Fernando Valley,” came to our attention last Halloween when they screen horror films at at the Lake Balboa Complex and the Langham, Huntington. For Halloween 2020 they have moved to the Westfield Fashion Square, offering drive-in style viewing that should be relatively risk-free for Halloween fans hoping to avoid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The complete schedule is as follows:

  • Oct 16:  Edward Scissorhands & Pet Sematary
  • Oct 17: Labyrinth & Child’s Play
  • Oct 23: Casper & Poltergeist
  • Oct 24: Hotel Transylvania & Scream

All screenings start at 7pm.

My Valley Pass is currently presenting the San Fernando Valley Summer Drive-In series, which wraps up on September 12 with a double bill of Batman and Terminator 2.

Westfield Fashion Square is located at 14006 Riverside Drive in Los Angeles. The venue’s website is: westfield.com/fashionsquare. The event’s website is: myvalleypass.com.
