Los Angeles Halloween Activities: Harvest Festivals, Block Parties, Pub Crawls, Costume Carnivals & Spooky Street Scenes
Tired of the same old haunted houses? Then check out these exciting Los Angeles Halloween Activities!
There are many ways to enjoy Halloween in Los Angeles, ranging from intensely scary Halloween Theme Parks, Mazes and Rides to safely spooky Halloween Home Haunts and Halloween events for children. Somewhere in between are community-oriented Halloween Haunts and attractions, including festivals and fairs, block parties, and street scenes. Some of these Halloween events are fund-raisers, organized by churches or community centers to benefit local causes. Others are organized by local businesses to attract customers.
Many of these Los Angeles Halloween Activities provide a safe way for families to enjoy the season. Some provide a mix of attractions whose appeal ranges from youngsters to teens to parents; a few may not be suitable for the very youngest children.
Not all of these Los Angeles Halloween Activities are officially organized events; some are informal, such as the Hollywood Halloween Street Fair, which consists of people showing up in costume on Halloween Night for a sort of spontaneous sidewalk parade. The city does not endorse the event, and the police no longer block automobile traffic on Hollywood Boulevard; crowds show up anyway.
