The Set Halloween Speakeasy

Halloween 2025: This immersive Halloween speakeasy returns for another season of spooky fun, featuring new theme, The Rift, set in the cabin from The Evil Dead.

Dates: Fridays and Saturdays October 3 through November 1. Start times are 6pm, 8pm, and 10pm.

Hours: 8pm to 12:15am, with admission at 15-minute intervals.

Tickets: $15 per person.

Location: The Set is hidden inside That 80s Bar, which is located at 10555 S. Mills Avenue in Montclair.

Macabre Manor Review 2024 — Rainy window at Macabre Manor

Every October, The Set offers a creepy cocktail experience that immerses visitors inside a bar filled with decorations and drinks themed to the Halloween season. The 100-minute event offers photo ops and entertainment. Besides soaking up the atmosphere and imbibing drinks, visitors can interact with roaming characters and watch a live performance on the small stage.

In 2023 and 2024, The Set offered haunted mansion themes, first named Spirit Lounge: Macabre Manor, then shortened to Macabre Manor the following year. Halloween 2025 saw a change to an Evil Dead cabin theme, named The Rift.

The Set is a speakeasy hidden inside That 80s Bar in Montclair. It themes itself for the four seasons. Other themes include Matterhorn Lodge for winter and The Grid for Summer.
