Status: To Be Determined. After going dark during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, Field of Screams remained closed for the Halloween 2021 season, promising to “weigh our options on whether or not we will return with a bigger and badder event” in 2022.
Field of Screams: The Haunted Stadium History
Field of Screams: The Haunted Stadium is a brand name for an annual event, which has been haunting the Inland Empire’s Diamond Stadium (a.k.a. Storm Stadium) since Halloween 2010, manifesting in a few different incarnations. In 2016, the original company behind the haunt left, leaving the in-house Storm Events company in charge. In 2018, Sinister Valley, which had been a stand-alone Halloween haunt, joined forces, returning for Halloween 2019.
Sinister Valley Haunted House History
After haunting Temecula for years, Sinister Valley Haunted House graduated to full commercial mode for Halloween 2017. Sinister Valley transformed its Vail Ranch location into what truly felt like a sinister valley, thanks to dirt roads and rustic decor suggesting a wild, haunted countryside. Backed by a dark ambient soundtrack, the haunted house featured mechanics and effects worth of a theme park attraction. Since joining forces with Field of Screams in 2018, Sinister Valley officially remains part of the lineup, though no dates of operation are listed for Halloween 2020.
