More Information: Terrorizing drivers since 2020, Haunted Carwash offers a memorable drive-through horror experience. Originally billing itself as Tunnel of Terror OC, this attraction was born of the desire to create a Covid-safe Halloween haunt during the pandemic lockdown. Billing itself as Tunnel of Terror Haunted Carwash Experience, the attraction moved from Huntington Beach to Anaheim in 2021, then added a second location in Fontana in 2022. The following year, the drive-through dropped “Tunnel of Terror OC” from its name and rebranded itself as simply The Haunted Carwash. Also in 2023, a new location was added in Lakewood in place of Fontana. Halloween 2024 saw a third location added in Duarte, which was replaced in 2025 by one in Montclair.

The Haunted Car Wash informs visitors: ” Safety is a top priority at the Haunted Carwash. Visitors are required to remain in their vehicles throughout the event, with clear signage and friendly ghouls on hand to direct and ensure safety. Attendees must follow simple instructions such as putting their vehicles into neutral when directed and keeping their hands and feet away from the controls.”
