Then sing up for this tour of the haunted Hollywood area of Los Angeles? Challenging but fun, Watson Adventures’ Haunted Hollywood Scavenger Hunt is not scary, nor even particularly spooky, but Halloween is definitely in the air, with local establishments decorated for the season and costumed revelers on their way to parties and other events. Not only will you visit allegedly ghost-infested locations; you will also learn the back stories behind the hauntings, in the forms of many myths and legends of Tinsel Town.

Watson Adventures Haunted Hollywood Scavenger Hunt General Information
This scavenger hunt takes participants on a two-and-half hour self-guided tour of Hollywood’s most famous haunts. Working in groups of three or four, teams compete to solve riddles and answer questions, tallying up points while following a trail of clues that leads along Hollywood Boulevard to such spirited landmarks as the Hollywood Wax Museum and the Roosevelt Building, where Marilyn Monroe allegedly lingers and a long-dead actor still belts out a tune on a bugle he played in a famous role.
Amidst the many haunted legends are buried hints that will lead to the solutions needed to win the haunt. However, deductive skills are not the only requirements, for time is of the essence, and there is much terrain to cover, as the trail leads from the legends of a jumper from the Hollywood Sign, the reason the pool at Hollywood High is not so safe, and the identity of a ghost rumored to walk in the concrete footsteps at the Chinese Theatre.
Comfortable shoes are recommended. Bottled water and snacks are not a bad idea, since there is not enough time to stop and eat without falling behind the other teams.
This is an adults-only event.
Note: This is not the same “Haunted Hollywood Scavenger Hunt” that Hollywood Gothique listed in previous years. That Scavenger Hunt was presented by Out of the Box Events, which also offered a Haunts of Angelino Heights Tour through a neighborhood noted for its elaborate Halloween displays. Out of The Box Events disappeared sometime after 2014, then re-emerged as an “event planning” company without the scavenger hunt listed among its events. As of 2020, the company’s website consisted only of a “Coming Soon” splash page with an option to sign up for future notifications.
