The Paramount After Dark Tour: Tales from the Other Side offers a glimpse into this haunted history, adding a seasonal overlay of ghostly rumors to their traditional studio tour. Though not scary, the nighttime trek through the back lot benefits from the inherent creepiness of a dark and deserted studio, and there are numerous sights, settings, and stories that should appeal to fans of sinister cinema and Halloween horror.

Status: In Limbo. Since the 2020 pandemic lockdown, the Paramount After Dark Tour is officially “on hiatus.” Paramount has informed us that the tour may return at some future date. Meanwhile, regular daytime tours have resumed.
Paramount After Dark Studio Tour General Information
This night-time version of the year-round studio tour covers much of the same territory (sound stages where current television shows are shot; stories about the making of The Godfather) but with an emphasis on spooky rumors and grim Hollywood history, including a detour through the adjacent Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Included are visits to the former RKO sound stages where King Kong (1933) was filmed, along with props and costumes from Sweeney Todd, The Addams Family, Terminator: Genysis, Star Trek, and World War Z.
- Suggested for guests 16 and over.
- Complimentary champagne is included at the beginning.
- Movie candy and popcorn available at a rest stop.
- The walking tour lasts two-and-a-half hours; wear comfortable shoes.
- Video filming is not allowed; still images are permitted except inside the sound stages.
Since reopening after the Covid-19 lockdown, Paramount Tours protocols in place. Visitors must be fully vaccinated or have tested negative within 72 hours. Proof of vaccination or a negative test result is required for entry.
