Haunted Maze on Ambrose
4302 Ambrose Avenue, Los Angeles (Los Feliz Area), CA 90027
Dates: This home haunt went on hiatus in 2017 and is unlikely to return, though its creator has expressed hopes about creating a new haunt in a larger venue, such as a warehouse.
Admission: Was free, but donations were accepted.
The brainchild of Timur Bootzin (who started scaring the local trick-or-treaters as a teenager back in 2012), the Ambrose Haunted Maze was a neighborhood yard haunt that made clever use of the available space: a house on a hill with steep steps and foliage that left plenty of shadowy hiding places in the dark. Originally known as A Nightmare on Ambrose, the haunt was a popular neighborhood attraction, drawing large crowds to the end of the cul-de-sac where it was located.
