Los Angeles Halloween Horror Plays, Haunted Performances, Scary Screenings, Cemetery Tours, & Museum Exhibitions
Here you will find an eclectic list of seasonal tours and shows: Los Angeles Halloween horror plays and haunted performances, scary screenings of classic horror movies, macabre midnight ramblings among gravestones and historical landmarks. If you enjoy the spooky thrill of wandering through ominous outdoor locations and/or allegedly haunted premises, of if prefer actors on the other side of the proscenium arch (not jumping out at you), this is the place for you.
The fright factor of these Los Angeles Halloween tours and shows varies widely. Museum events tend to use the Halloween season to interest people in historical customs related to the season and to beliefs regarding death and the supernatural. Tours are often educational in nature. Museums and galleries may be eerie but seldom frightful. Plays set in mortuaries can be absolutely terrifying. In general, these Halloween events offer a different kind of fear experience, more subtle and sometimes more profound than the jump-scares of more traditional Halloween Haunted Houses.

Los Angeles Halloween Horror Plays, Tours & Shows: Year-Round Events
Some year-round Los Angeles attractions have horror elements that are appropriate for Halloween, such as the Chamber of Horrors in the Hollywood Wax Museum and the Dungeon of Doom in the Hollywood Museum. The latter sometimes re-brands itself as a Halloween event during October, but you can see many of the same displays throughout the other months.

Los Angeles Halloween Horror Plays, Tours & Shows: Why List Them Together?
This grouping of shows, tours, cemeteries, exhibitions, screenings, and plays might at first seem odd, but there is a method to our madness: There is a tradition of Los Angeles Halloween horror plays staged in unusual locations, requiring the audience to walk through cemeteries, warehouses, museums, and historical parks, turning the experience into a kind of walking tour. Some Los Angeles Halloween Attractions combine elements of a historical tour with live performance. Every Halloween season features outdoor horror movie screenings, sometimes in graveyards. There have even been exhibitions set in outdoor venues, requiring connoisseurs of macabre art to traipse through foreboding locations at night.
