Boo at the Los Angeles Zoo
2023 Update: This year’s events and activities include Trick-or-Treating, an Extinct Animal Graveyard, Spooky Story Time with author/illustrator team Suzanne and Max Lang, The Lair (rare snakes, poisonous frogs, and venomous lizards), and Creature Treats (watch the resident animals enjoy seasonal treats). In addition to the annual Boo at the Zoo, Halloween 2023 also includes a members-only Trick or Treat Fall Garden Walk on October 22 from 8:30-10am, featuring strange “plants that strangle, have dagger-like defenses, ooze red blood, smell like rotting corpses, or trap and even sometimes kill prisoners.” The tour is open to adults and children.

Tickets: Boo at the Zoo activities are included with regular admission to the Los Angeles Zoo.
The Los Angeles Zoo’s annual Halloween event for children offers kid-safe entertainment and education, with such activities as jack-o-lantern carving, photo opportunities, and crafts. Costumes are encouraged.
