Rotten Apple 907 Home Haunt Overview

This amateur Halloween attraction by "Rotten Apple Studios" has been in operation since 1990. The Rotten Apple home haunt features a custom-built walk-through maze that morphs every Halloween, changing theme from year to year. (For example 2005 featured a zombie endlessly walking on a treadmill while moaning for "Brains! Brains" - obviously inspired by Dan O'Bannon's 1985 film Return of the Living Dead.)

In its early days, Rotten Apple 907's props and decor tended to be store-bought items, and the maze was shorter. In 2009, the Halloween haunt underwent a major upgrade, featuring a longer maze and bigger production values; since then, there has been a clear trend toward original settings and effects. 2011 took visitors into outer space. In 2012 and 2013, there was an entire upside down room guaranteed to make you dizzy. And 2010's Nightmare in the Museum featured a moving, roaring dinosaur!

Despite its professional-level quality, the Rotten Apple home haunt is free to trick-or-treaters. Rotten Apple 907 does accept donations to benefit charities.
