N’everest Cemetery and Haunted House is updated this year with some new decorations and more live monsters. This home-haunt walk-through includes a wide variety of spooky sets and costumes, lacking a consistent theme, but invoking a pleasant feeling of Halloween nostalgia. There’s no story, but the twists and turns of the set provide the actors with plenty of hiding place to scare you from unexpected angles. The decorations in front of the house are more than many home haunts offer – enough to keep you entertained during your wait in the short line.

never-rest-cemetery-skeleton-in-groundOnce you’re at the front of the line, waiting to enter, you can watch the previous group inside on a monitor, jumping at the many frightening moments inside. The first section is a cemetery, true to it’s name: never at rest, as the dead are coming back to life in an attempt to make you join them. As you proceed, the cemetery gives way to interior hallways dripping with a sense of foreboding; the eyes of painting follow you; and doors creak open all on their own.

As always, the ghosts and ghouls of N’ever Rest Cemetery put in the effort to create a great Halloween experience for Antelope Valley trick-or-treaters.
