Halloween Season 2015 begins!

Can you feel the first hint of autumn in the air? Hear the rustling of cornfields and the flapping of bat wings? Smell the malodorous discharges from exhumed graves? See the first glint of glowing Jack O’Lanterns? What’s going on? Aren’t these the final days of summer? Why does this day seem somehow different? Read on to find out…if you dare!

I’m sure you all know what today is, right? It’s the first day of the Halloween 2015 season! Yippy ki yay, mother-f….

Now, we know, judging from the interwebs, that many other people are thinking of something else on this day; however, as always, Hollywood Gothique pinpoints the beginning of frightful fall festivities according to Disneyland Halloween Time, which is always the first major theme park to roll out its seasonal overlay, like a shroud upon the Magic Kingdom. That day happens to be today, and we will leave it to others to ponder upon the ineffable question of why Disneyland opted to launch Halloween Time on September 11.

In any case, this is only the opening salvo, to be quickly followed by Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood next week, then the Knotts Berry Farm Halloween Haunt, the Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest, and the Queen Mary Dark Harbor – all in rapid fire succession, like grave exploding to release the undead upon the world of the living.

We have a feeling that this will be a truly enchanting Halloween season.
