Haunted Little Tokyo, which made its debut last year, has announced its return for Halloween 2018. This month-long festival, set in various locations in and around Japanese Village Plaza, includes decorated shops, pumpkin patches, spooky sounds, ghostly games, free horror movie screenings, live entertainment, ‘haunted’ walking tours, bar crawls, and themed food and drink specials.

Scheduled events will take place on October 5-7, 12-14, 19-21, 25, 27, 31. Hours vary by date, starting as early as noon and ending as late as 10pm.

Highlights include the original Godzilla (1954), screened on October 25 at 7pm, in conjunction with the “Kaiju vs Heroes: Mark Nagata’s Journey through the World of Japanese Toys” exhibition at the Japanese American National Museum. Other screenings include Mary and the Witches Flower on Friday, October 19 at 6 pm  in The Japanese Village Plaza, and John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness on Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m. at Union Center for the Arts (where the movie was shot).

Haunted Little Tokyo will culminate with a block party on Saturday, October 27 from 5pm to midnight, followed by Trick-or-treating on Tuesday, October 31 from 2pm to 7pm.

We will post more information as the schedule of events is finalized.
