Haunted Magic Mystery Show comes to Beetle House LA

Michael Campion’s Haunted Mystery Show of Magic arrives at Beetle House for an extended stay beginning later this month. Campion (a regular at the Magic Castle) is pitching his performance to horror fans as a “dark, immersive magic show that…will scare the audience while confusing the senses about what is and isn’t real with the help of a deceased spirit.” Expect closeup magic and audience participation in a setting that evokes the sights and sounds of the Halloween season.

In case you have not been, Beetle House is the perfect venue for this kind of show. The restaurant-bar keeps the Halloween spirit alive year-round, with decor and characters inspired by Beetlejuice and other Tim Burton movies. The food and cocktails are not bad, either.

Michael Campion’s Haunted Mystery Show of Magic runs on Saturdays from September 21 through October 26, with special midnight performances on Friday October 11 and 25. Regular performances start at 7:30pm nightly, except for October 19 and 26, which start at 8pm. Guests are advised to arrive 45 minutes early in order to enjoy dinner and cocktails before the show. The 45-minute performance is appropriate for teens and adults. Tickets are $45 for general admission and $90 for Cabana VIP seats (plus fees and taxes). Tickets and info are available at Tickemaster. Beetle House LA is located at 7080 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood; their website is beetlehousela.com.

Coming to Beetle House LA beginning September 21st, just in time for the Halloween Season, Michael Campion who for five years starred as Jackson Fuller, the teen son of D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) on the Netflix series, Fuller House will be headlining his one man show, Michael Campion’s Haunted Mystery Show of Magic. The 22-year-old has traded laughs in favor of screams as he proceeds to scare the pants off brave souls who dare to attend his upcoming performances.

Campion, a regular magician at Los Angeles’ famed Magic Castle, is offering horror genre enthusiasts something more at Beetle House LA. His show is a 45-minute nail biting, edge of your seat, dark, immersive, close-up magic show. Lucky (or unlucky) members of the audience are invited onstage to assist Campion in what proves to be an unnerving and impressive display of mind-boggling magic tricks, set amid the looks and sounds of the upcoming ghostly season.

Of his show Campion says, “I have a deep passion for immersive theater, particularly when it comes to haunted and spooky experiences. There is a unique, feeling that this genre evokes, one that no other can match. My haunted magic show is a direct result of this passion. In my show, you can expect a blend of campy Halloween fun and genuinely scary moments, culminating with a séance, where if we’re lucky, the ghost of Victor Constantine, a magician from the early 20th century, might just join us in performing some magic. Creating a sense of wonder and awe is what drives me, much how Disney “makes magic” for its guests. My goal is to bring that same feeling to the audience. This show is perfect for a date night or a fun evening with friends, offering a gut punching way to get into the Halloween spirit.”
