Holiday Road 2022: Review + Photos

Want to escape Southern California for the Holidays, or at least feel like you did?  Look no further than Holiday Road.  The quiet and sequestered Holiday walk-through attraction puts you in a different part of Southern California where even the cold air feels different.  Holiday Road is back again with its improved walk-through format located at King Gillette Ranch.  King Gillette Ranch is like its own canyon with its own weather system where we felt it was much colder than when we just exited off the freeway.  Therefore, this feeling of a real winter may add to the overall attraction after all.

Holiday Road 2022 Review: Walk-Through

We found this season’s Holiday Road walk-through to be exponentially better than last season’s.  You wouldn’t have been able to tell that this ranch housed the Nights of the Jack Halloween walk-through experience just under a month ago; which the same organizers also produce.  With a quick turnaround, the event organizers turned this into a Southern Californian winter wonderland.  Though it doesn’t snow here in L.A., there will be snow and lots of it at Holiday Road and that’s a guarantee; so much that we were drenched in it walking out.

So how is it better this year you ask?  We can’t exactly pinpoint the actual thing, but it’s an assortment of things and the feeling that we got when we arrived.  Whether it is the added props that made the paths more complete or just the placement of the props this year; whatever it was made us feel like this was a place we want to be year after year.  Call it that Christmas magic if you will, but whatever the event organizers did this year really captured the magical feeling and spread that cheer amongst its visitors.
