New for Halloween 2024: Frankensteins Dinner Party

This Halloween, Theatre Ten invites you to Frankenstein’s Dinner Party, an avant-garde theater piece about Frankenstein’s creation trying to win his creator’s approval by creating the perfect human. The producers promise a new spin on Mary Shelley’s story, set during a dinner party where “family secrets are revealed and tensions escalate as unexpected guests become embroiled in the madness.”

Frankenstein’s Dinner Party will have six performances on October 27-28, each starting at 8pm, and November 8-9, starting at 8pm on Friday and at 5pm and 8pm on Saturday. Ticket are $35 (including post-show reception). The play takes place in Joyce Hall at Thymele Arts, 5481 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood. Tickets are available here.

Theatre Ten Presents: A New Original Production “Frankensteins’ Dinner Party”

Los Angeles, CA – [10/16/24] – Theater Ten, an innovative theater company, is proud to announce the launch of its latest avant-garde production, ”Frankensteins’ Dinner Party.”

Celebrating both original and classic theater with imaginative storytelling and inspiring performances, Theatre Ten is set to captivate audiences with this unique take on a timeless tale by Mary Shelley.

Written by playwright Lynde Houck, “Frankensteins’ Dinner Party” features a 13-character ensemble set within the eerie confines of the monster’s castle. The play follows Frankenstein, as he strives to prove his worth to his creator and father, by attempting to create the “perfect
human.” During a celebratory dinner party, family secrets are revealed, tensions escalate as unexpected guests become embroiled in the madness.

In development for three and a half years, “Frankensteins’ Dinner Party” has been workshopped in collaboration with talented comedic actors from our Los Angeles theater community. Drawing inspiration from Commedia Dell’arte archetypes and utilizing vocal and physical viewpoints, the play promises a unique and engaging theatrical experience pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling.
