The Terry Haunt – a one-time yard haunt that expanded into the La Palma Recreation Center in Anaheim for 2007 – was cancelled last year when that location became unavailable. This August, they announced their return for Halloween 2009; their unused 2008 theme (“Clownz”) would be resurrected and used in the Loara High School Gymnasium in Anaheim. Yesterday, however, proprietor Michael Terry sent out an email announcing the new location change.
The Katella Street address puts the Terry Haunt just a bat’s wing away from The Empty Grave (formerly The Haunted Cellar), a pro haunt set up in the Anaheim Garden Walk at 321 W. Katella Avenue. Halloween fans living in Los Angeles, concerned about the long drive out to Anaheim, could turn the trip into a haunted house double header, which would justify the gasoline money necessary to make the trip.
