New Page: Best Halloween Haunts in Los Angeles

In case you have yet to notice, dear reader, today Hollywood Gothique added a new page to its website: Best Halloween Haunts in L.A. As the name implies, we have assembled the most highly recommended Halloween events in and around Los Angeles – theme park attractions, haunted, houses, mazes, rides, and shows – and put them in one easy-to-find place.

Hopefully, this page will a time-saver for visitors reluctant to dig their way  through our archives like ghouls rifling tombs, hoping to find a few juicy morsels among the dried bones. All of the Halloween Haunts listed on the new page. have been consistently entertaining for years; since these recommendations are long-term, they will not take into account variations from one Halloween to the next, so don’t expect to find an opinion on whether Halloween Horror Nights is better than Knotts Scary Farm this year. However, we are sure that if you visit one of these events based on our recommendation, you will not be disappointed.

The existence of this page is a fringe benefit of the recently redesigned website, which makes it easier to create pages that pull information from other sources. Thus, once pages have been created for dozens of individual Halloween haunts, it is a relatively simple matter to make those haunts show up as entries in other pages. To take one example, the Wicked Lit Halloween Theatre Festival is now accessible on A Halloween Haunts Master List, on our page for Halloween Tours and Shows, and on the new Best Halloween Haunts in L.A. page.

Of course, it was always possible to post entries for Wicked Lit on several different pages, but the work had to be done manually, which meant that, whenever a change was made, it had to be made on each and every page with a listing for the event. Now, with all the pages pulling information from the same source, only the source needs to be changed, and the changes will show up everywhere else. This will make it easy for us to keep the best-of list up to date, adding new haunts as we discover them and deleting old haunts as they retire.

In any case, if you are not an obsessive addict who has to see everything but merely a fan who wants to find the very best with the least fuss, you now have a place to find the Best Halloween Haunts in Los Angeles.
