Description: Hey there, horror movie soundtrack fans! The Cinefamily assures us they have a concert for you! NILBOG (that’s “Goblin” spelled backwards, for those of you who never saw TROLL 2) will appear at the Silent Movie Theatre, where they will perform soundtrack cues from some of your favorite horror classics.

Here’s the Cinefamily pitch:

NILBOG is a horror film score tribute band like no other — because it might be the only one! Featuring some of L.A.’s most dedicated film music lovers (as well as former/current members of Captain Ahab, Anavan, White Fence and Monsturo), Nilbog exists to pay homage to classic soundtrack moments by Goblin, John Carpenter, Giorgio Moroder, Riz Ortolani, Ennio Morricone and other masters of the form. Utilizing their talent and a keen ear for detail (including vintage synthesizers), this five-piece band recreates down to the last timbre some of the most beloved and fetishized horror movie themes of the past few decades — and has piles of fun doing it. Tonight, hear them perform tunes from Deep Red, Escape From New York, Tenebrae, Friday the 13th Part III, The Thing and others….

The performance will be followed by a screening of GOODBYE UNCLE TOM. (Why? Don’t ask me! I might have been expecting something like – well, I don’t know…maybe a horror movie! Oh well!)

$12 for non-members / FREE for members.
