No House at Haunted Hill for 2018

Perhaps it's just a way of bringing balance to the Force, but the eagerly anticipated return of Boney Island for Halloween 2018 is being counterbalanced by the sad announcement that House at Haunted Hill yard display will go dark this year. The message arrived via the haunt's Facebook page:

In the words of our biggest inspiration... “We have been unavoidably detained...” and our spirits will not materialize in 2018. Don’t be frightened! Our spirits will materialize again! We will miss you all and we wish you a Safe, Happy and Hauntingly Ghoulish Halloween!!

With love and thanks to all,
The House at Haunted Hill

The announcement offers no explanation for the decision, but the ever-increasing scope of the annual home haunt has made it increasingly difficult for the proprietors to mount the elaborate production without volunteer assistance.
