No Huntington Haunt for Halloween 2016

Bad news just keeps piling up. Not only are the Los Angeles Live Steamers Ghost Train and the Evil Twin Studios Haunted House going on hiatus this Halloween, so is the Huntington Haunt Experience. Set in and around Huntington Beach’s historic Newland House (rather like the Winchester Mystery House’s Fright Nights a few years ago), the Huntington Haunt made its debut in 2016, with an innovative mix of jump-scares, puzzle-solving, and interactive storytelling involving a ghostly wedding.

The announcement of this year’s hiatus appeared in a September 6 post on the Huntington Haunt’s Facebook page:

The wedding took such a toll on The Huntington’s last October that they have decided to take a year off to plan for next years Huntington Haunt Experience. What does this mean? A bigger and even scarier Huntington Haunt Experience will be coming your way in 2017!

Huntington Haunt was one of our favorite Halloween attractions of 2015, and we were eagerly looking forward to its return in 2016. Oh well, there’s always next year.
