OMG – Halloween is here already!

Years ago, remarking on the ever expanding Halloween season, I joked that in the not too distant future, September 13 would fall on a Friday, providing an excuse for major Halloween events, particularly theme parks, to launch before the month was even half over. That joke has long since become reality, with Disneyland Halloween Time running throughout September and other haunted attractions launching this week (e.g., Halloween Horror Nights on Thursday and Winchester Mystery House on Friday).

Unfortunately, Hollywood Gothique is woefully behind this year and rushing to catch up. We have been heavily involved in another project (a printed magazine covering horror, fantasy, and science fiction cinema, which should debut sometime this fall), so we have not devoted the time we should have to updating our listings.

Rest assured that we are doing our best. Even though we have yet to cross all the t’s and dot all the i’s, we will be attending opening nights of the aforementioned Winchestery Mystery House and Halloween Horror Nights in order to report on them in a timely manner. This Halloween is going to be a hectic seven and a half weeks, but we are eagerly anticipating the fast and furious marathon of mayhem ahead.
