To many Halloween fanatics, Spooky Swap Meet officially kicks off “Halfway-To-Halloween” or Half-O-Ween! Spooky Swap Meet continues to offer a distinct experience, providing an opportunity for Halloween fans to shop for specific gifts and goodies not available to the average consumer outside of these events plus more!
During a brief interview with Co-Producer, Sarah Cooke, she stated that they wanted to make this event even better with more to do than ever before. We were able to celebrate their hard work by experiencing Spooky Swap Meet unlike ever before. This year’s Spooky Swap Meet no longer felt like a Halloween marketplace or themed swap meet; it felt like a festival.
For the first time ever, we were able to experience a maze/walk-through at this event courtesy of Fear Farm. Live music for the first time was provided by LVCRFT. Olde Tyme Ice Cream (Ice Scream) officially debuted their Pumpkin-Face Pizza. New coffee vendor, Roast The Dead Coffee provided the caffeine to stay awake and alert. Liquid Death handed out samples of their new beverages. All this on top of what we grew to love about past Spooky Swap Meets. Therefore, this felt a lot like a fair atmosphere; giving the people new things to look forward to.
Spooky Swap Meet is created by Claire Dunlap (CoFounder/producer of Midsummer Scream, Producer of Cemetery Lane) and Sarah Cooke (@the_pumpkin_queen, creator of GOREnaments) with Associate Producers David Markland, (Executive Director of Midsummer Scream) and Jon Cooke (Creative Director/Owner of Plague Productions).
