Here’s a bit of good news: after going dark in 2015, Pumkin Jack’s Haunted House returns for three nights of terror on October 28, 29 & 31 (no haunting on Sunday, October 30). Though it does not receive as much attention as the more high-profile home haunts, Pumkin Jack’s is actually quite good: clever construction squeezes six eerie scenes into the available space, providing an enjoyable dose of Halloween horror intense enough for haunt fans but not too intimidating for the average trick-or-treater (though it is not recommended for very young children).
Pumkin Jack’s Haunted House (sometimes spelled “Pumpkin Jack’s Haunted House) is located at 28603 Natalie Lane in Saugus. It’s a bit of a drive for Los Angeles Halloween fans, but it’s reasonably close to Beware the Dark Realm in Santa Clarita, creating an opportunity for a fantastic home haunt double bill.
Pumkin Jack’s home haunt is free but donations are accepted. Learn more about the haunt here.
