Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Darkside, Nightmare On Hickory Lane, Corona Lights & Coffin Creek

Looking for ways to celebrate Halloween in Riverside County? Here are some events and attractions we have yet to visit this season – but we will.

Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Coffin Creek

Located in Crossroads Riverview Park, Coffin Creek sports five attractions, which last we visited back in 2017, so we’re looking forward to the new changes and improvements that have been made. They’re open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, plus Halloween Night, through November 3. The address is 14600 Baron Drive in Corona. For their ticketing info and dates, visit: coffincreek.com.

Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Corona Lights

Known for their dazzling display of Christmas lights, Corona Lights has added a Halloween show this year, which will be another first for us.  The show runs daily until Oct 31st; hours are Sun-Thurs 6:30-9:00 and Fri-Sat 6:30-10:00. The address is 1149 Carter Lane in Corona. Check them out here for more info: facebook.com/coronalights.us.

Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Ghost Walk Riverside

California Riverside Ballet presents its annual Ghost Walk, a block party in downtown Riverside featuring a half-dozen mini-plays performed at historic buildings in the vicinity. This year’s performances will be based on the stories of Edgar Allan Poe. Ghost Walk Riverside takes place on October 25 & 26. Learn more here: crballet.com/site/ghost-walk.

Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Darkside In Riverside

New to Riverside this year is a 3 Day Halloween expo called “Darkside In Riverside” (An I.E. Comic Con Experience).  A Three-Day event full of Halloween activities, programming, and panels with the VIPS the likes of Tony Todd, Linda Blair and Fitz and the Tantrums.  We’ve all been to the cons in L.A., now we’re anxious to see how they do it in the Inland Empire. Darkside in Riverside is open from 10/18 to 10/20. Most events take place in Riverside Municipal Auditorium at 3485 Mission Inn Avenue; some time place down the street in the The Fox Theater at 3801 Mission Inn Avenue.  For tickets and a full schedule, visit: thedarksideinriverside.com.

Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Nightmare On Hickory Lane

A yard display have never visited, Nightmare on Hickory Lane seems elaborate from photos shared on social media within our haunt groups. We’re excited to see it for the first time this year. The haunt runs through October 31 at 3909 Hickory Lane in Chino Hills; hours vary by date. Get details: facebook.com/NightmareonHickory.

Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Reichland Asylum Haunted House

This free home haunt open October 18-19, 25-26, 30-31. Their preview presentation at this year’s Midsummer Scream was very impressive, so this one should be worth a visit. The address is 3980 Bandini Avenue in Riverside. Check details here: facebook.com/ReichlandAsylum.

Riverside Halloween Itinerary 2019: Haydenville Haunter
Haydenville Haunter

We visited here after the haunt season as the display remained open for a select few lucky souls.  We found an impressive western town with plenty of unforeseen scares, which started off with an exploding mine; all built by a single Man with one injured hand believe it or not.  We look forward to returning to this gem of a Pro-Home Haunt; this time for its full production!  This was definitely worth the drive out especially if you appreciate set decor.  Haydenville Haunter is located at 23291 Park Lane Ct. Moreno Valley, CA.  For their latest dates and times for 2020, check them out here for more info: https://www.facebook.com/haydenvillehomehaunter/

Riverside Halloween Itinerary 2019: Desert Decay Manor
Desert Decay Manor

Once in a while, we like to do something crazy like head 2 hours away for a single haunt.  Well since Desert Decay Manor gave us a walk-through tour in December; we couldn’t miss it!  With the ability to keep the haunt and walk-through up all year round; we were able to take advantage of that and see how it pretty much was during the Halloween season.  DDM picked up where it left off from Midsummer Scream, the major difference was that you can see the whole “house”.  We were genuinely impressed by the sets, decor, little intricacies that made the “set” – like real scorpions and insects found only in the desert.  If you didn’t know, you would’ve thought this haunt was just a large graveyard when standing in the front of the property.  However, once you enter the “doors” of the manor, you’ll understand why it’s called Desert Decay Manor.  With the location in the desert, it definitely added to the feel and the theme of the graveyard and haunted house.  DDM is located at  Calico Ave and Chaparral Rd, Whitewater, California 92282.  We look forward to the haunt this season with Actors!  Check them out here for more info: https://desertdecaymanor.com/

Riverside Halloween Events 2019: Conclusion

We’ll report our findings on these haunts and share some media with you next week. Meanwhile, there are several other Halloween mazes and rides open in Riverside, which we have already reviewed: Terror in Train Town, Haunted Tom’s Farms, and Castle Dark.
