Rocky Horror Picture Show invades Halloween Horror Nights

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW will be incorporated into this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. No, there will not be a walk-through maze where you can come up to the lab and see what’s on the slab; instead, there will be a live musical performance, titled “Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute,” featuring “audience participation and guest involvement.”

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW’s camp element seems in line with what you typically see at these special Halloween shows, which work overtime to be risque and outrageous. It will certainly offer a contrast to Universal Studios Halloween theme for 2009, which is based on SAW.

This year Halloween Horror Nights begins on October 2. The theme park attraction promises new Scare Zones (including one based on SHAUN OF THE DEAD), a new back lot terror tram tour, and “four all-new mazes” (including one based on SAW).
