Rooftop Screams returns to Montalbán
The Montalbán has announced the Halloween 2021 schedule for its annual Rooftop Screams series, which will take place on Fridays and Saturdays throughout October, plus Halloween night. Titles include Scream, The Exorcist, The Shining, Friday the 13th (1980), The Addams Family (1991), IT, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warrios, The Orphanage, Hocus Pocus, Beeltejuice, The Lost Boys, American Psycho, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Screenings take place on the roof of the Montalbán, which offers a solid audio-visual experience, including headphones so that audiences can enjoy stereo sound without interference from traffic noise. There will be games to play before the screenings, including Jenga® GIANT, oversized four-in-a-row, and cornhole bean bag toss, or guests can take advantage of the Selfie Zone.
Tickets are $25 for a single seat, $50 for a loveseat, which includes two boxes of popcorn. Guests must be 18 years or older or accompanied by an adult for R-rated films, and ages twelve and up for family-friendly films. Local health guidelines will be enforced: all attendees must wear a mask and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

LLOS ANGELES, CA – September 23, 2021 – The Montalbán announces its popular Halloween-themed screening series, Rooftop Screams!, boasting a month-long program that includes wickedly scary and horrifically spooky films from the past 50 years. Offering guests a cinematic experience under the stars—with Coronavirus safety precautions in place—the fun will kick off on Friday, October 1, 2021 with the 1996 American satirical slasher Scream, directed by Wes Craven. Other fan-favorites will include The Shining, Friday The 13th, The Exorcist, It, Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, and Pan’s Labyrinth. There will be a double-feature presented on October 31st with The Nightmare Before Christmas followed by The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Beyond October, Hollywood’s historic venue plans to hold screenings every weekend through the end of the year. The cost is $25.00 for regular admission and $50.00 for a loveseat (in limited supply), which includes two boxes of popcorn.
