Scaredy Cats: Cat People (1982)

I sort-of cat-blogged this movie last year, when it screened at the American Cinemathque, but in honor of its HD-DVD release, I’m giving it another go. Besides, I have a new image to present, which you can see at top.

This is a film that I hotly anticipated before its release; unfortunately, it turned out to be a tremendous disappointment.

In spite of that, Cinefantastique magazine gave it a rave review, stating that the film’s box office failure indicated that horror audiences liked their movies simple-mind.
