Screamfest 2017 kicks off this week

The annual Screamfest L.A. horror film festival runs October 10 through 19 at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood, 90028. Screamfest kicks off with Dead Ant at 7:30pm on October 10 at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre (introduced by Selma Blair), followed by an opening night party. Other films include a double bill of Leatherface and The Funhouse on October 13; Vampira: About Sex, Death and Taxes; and To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story. Screamfest wraps up on October 19 with a triple bill tribute to George Romero: Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, and Creepshow, starting at 5pm.

Individual tickets cost $11. Festival passes cost $206.28 for All Movie and $309.27 for Full Festival (movies plus parties). The official website for the event is screamfestla.com.
